Carl and Jason have recently returned from a trip to Germany to visit a company called Parador, who they visited with one of our clients Westco Floors (Western Cork Limited). The purpose of the visit was both to become more familiar with the flooring products supplied by Parador and to check out a software implementation in place at Parador which includes a sophisticated floor designer that they have also implemented online.

The showroom at Parador was very impressive, as was the efforts that they have put into their floor designer software. This new floor designer software is great and has been made available online via their website, offline via a disk, and also through a clever POS system for flooring showrooms. Westco are large flooring wholesaler for the UK and also have a very impressive business; they are already working closely with Parador and are working on plans to supply more of the Parador products. The Parador software that we are looking at with Westco is not quite capable yet of implementing in a bespoke fashion as it cannot yet be implemented with a selection of flooring products, so at the moment it's all or nothing, but with a little work we can get this software implemented for Westco here in the UK and we will be working on this over the coming months.

We have just  launched a new website for a flooring specialist company. Floomaker sell laminate flooring, solid wood flooring, cork tiles and engineered wood flooring and all at very competitive prices.

The company approached Designer Websites for an ecommerce website that would give them flexibiity, scalability, a great image online and most importantly they approached us for an optimised ecommerce website, for which we have a reputation which is second to none. The ecommerce website that we created not only looks good but has a bespoke content management system, is integrated with SagePay, has a bespoke product review system and a very functional and bespoke product filter system. All-in-all the website is precisely what the company were looking for and provides the carefully considered buying journey that they wanted for their potential customers.

We have just designed and developed a new website for the 1st Stop Driving School, a driving instructor company based in Cardiff, South Wales. This driving instructor had previously taught one of our developers (Rory) to drive and he successfully passed first time; and is now teaching Jason's oldest son to drive.. good luck Andrew! Our first hand experience of the company is great and they have proven that as far as driving instructors go they are among the best in the country. We have been working very hard on a new website for Access Training Wales Ltd, a specialist trade training company based in Cardiff, South Wales. The website is very large and contains detailed information on the various trade training courses offered by the company, for example plumbing training, electrician training, plastering training etc. The company have been delivering trade training courses for many many years and have a fantastic facility in Cardiff, which is purpose built to deliver these types of training courses.

The owners came to us with the requirement to completely redesign and rebuild their old website with a particular view to optimising the new site for the search engines. The trades training industry is very competitive and as such their are many large training companies like these guys who are spending lots of time, energy and money on getting their websites to the top of the search engines for the particular courses that they deliver, so this is a pretty tough ask, however we live to prove that we can do this and although we have only recently launched this site our client is already seeing improvements on the number of enquiries, and this will significantly improve over the next few months, of that I am positive.

Working with this company it was easy to see how passionate they are about delivering high quality training to individuals who want to learn a new skill or even develop a new career. They really get a buzz out of seeing their clients/students complete a course and become a qualified trades person, and that is admirable in my book.
