Their range covers everything from Halloween costumes and hen party accessories to remote control helicopters and gifts for the home; clearly, it would be very difficult to market all of these products properly on one website! We collaborated closely with 40 Group to create a cost-effective multi-site ecommerce solution that suited their needs perfectly, and the company’s assorted ecommerce websites have driven a staggering number of sales over the last few years.
Designing the WebsitesThe best thing about a white label solution is the fact that, while each website has the same underlying structure, the actual design (i.e. the part that your customers will actually see) can be totally different each time. 40 Group Promotions wanted to take full advantage of this flexibility, and we created a unique design for each and every one of their sites; for example, 40 Group’s gadget website has a minimal, modern look that will appeal to tech fans, while the hen party shop uses lots of colourful imagery alongside a bright pink design. Each of these websites is marketed at a different audience with its own comprehensive SEO plan, which is also executed by Designer Websites. Product ManagementAll of the websites that we created for 40 Group are based on the same engine, and products are controlled centrally. Stock control, customer emails, and many other site management tasks are completely automated, and our bespoke back-end system makes it easy for the 40 Group team to add, remove, or suppress products at the click of a button, ensuring that each website’s product range remains perfectly suited to the target audience. Search Engine OptimisationHaving an entire website for each of their target markets allows 40 Group to address a very long list of keywords, and since each website is completely dedicated to its own particular niche – hen party accessories, fancy dress costumes, et cetera – it is much easier for the sites to rank for their primary keywords. Furthermore, the product management console allows 40 Group to add their own content and SEO tags to each page, allowing them to optimise everything right down to the individual product level and avoid duplication issues where the same product appears on two or more of their sites.
